2. Get trained. You have to complete 75 hours of training then 16 hours of supervised clinical training. Your training covers infection control, resident rights, nutrition, communication skills and how to aide patients to eat, bathe, groom themselves, etc.
Usually, training is provided by employers for free. There are also community colleges, vocational high schools and other independent agencies providing CNA training.

4. Work as a certified nursing assistant.
